Steven P. Goodman was born in Rockville Centre, New York and attended the University of Vermont where he received a B.A. in History and Art History. He continued his studies at L’Ecole des Beaux Arts, Brest, France and Parsons School of Design, New York City. He has participated in the Vermont Studio Center’s program for Vermont artists and attended workshops taught by Charles Reid, Stanley Bielen, and Doug Braithwaite.

Goodman has exhibited his paintings and digital images in galleries in New England, including The Left Bank Gallery (Wellflleet, MA) and Edgewater Gallery (Middlebury, VT). He has had numerous solo shows and been included in many group exhibits. At the same time, he had a successful career of 30+ years as a graphic designer for an educational software company.

Presently, Goodman splits his time between Florida and Massachusetts. He is currently working on a series of landscape and abstract images which he creates digitally.

 

Selections of his recent work were recently on exhibit at the Art Ovation Hotel in Sarasota, Florida.
